Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, has commended members of the Association of Nigerian Physicians in America, who have arrived the State for an intensive five-day medical outreach.

Receiving the physicians, led by Dr. Chinyere Anyaogu, at the weekend, in the Government House, Owerri, the governor commended them for their thoughtfulness and willingness to give back to the society, reminding them that no sacrifice made for the sake of humanity should be regretted.

According to a statement by his Chief Press Secretary and Media Adviser,
Oguwike Nwachuku, the governor, who also told the visiting doctors the efforts his government has been making to improve the wellbeing of citizens of the state, assured them that he would support efforts at bettering the lives of the people.

Uzodimma took to his social media handle to express his feelings about the medical outreach. His words: “It was a pleasure to receive, in audience yesterday, the president and members of the Association of Nigerian Physicians in America, who arrived Imo for a certified medical mission across the state.”

“Recall that during the live phone-in programme I held early this month at the Government House, Owerri, I announced our partnership with the association, once again, for a medical mission across the state.

“This is a charity service from the association to our people, especially those in the rural areas, and, as usual, we will accord them every support for an effective outreach; and I wish them a seamless exercise.”
