The pioneer Vice Chancellor of Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo Town, Prof. Olanrewaju Olaniyan, yesterday, promised that the university would deal decisively with any student involved in cultism, hooliganism and violence under the institution’s rules and regulations.

Olaniyan stated this during the first matriculation ceremony of the university, which matriculated 2,600 students, signifying the official maiden commencement of the 2023/2024 academic session.

The vice chancellor said: ”Out of 3,306 applicants, only 2,600 students met the merit qualifications and were admitted into the institution. Of the pioneer students, 59 per cent are female and 41 per cent are male, showcasing the university’s gender sensitivity.
