25-year-old vision impaired Ekesi Victoria, a student of National Open University is working beyond all odds to better her future by learning how to make soap, but her only challenge is lack of sponsorship.

Victoria needs N500, 000 to remain in school. She is currently a 300 level student of Open University of Nigeria, Mushin study centre, where she is studying Peace Study and Conflict Resolution, which she said, tuition fee cost about N150, 000 yearly.

According to her, “My struggle to attain that level in my academic life has not been an easy due to my poor family background.“I lost my mother at the age of 5 and cannot define fatherhood because my father died when I was 9-days old. I was later taken to my aunty, who became my guardian. She sponsored me through my primary and secondary school. In 2010, I went to Nigeria Farm Craft School for the blind, Isheri Olofin Lagos.

“In 2003, I lost my sight at age 9 as a result of measles, an airborne disease that spread easily through the cough and sneezes of infected persons. Lack of adequate treatment of the disease limited my vision but my faith to become a woman of my dream didn’t go blind and it is on that premise that I am calling on well meaning members of the public to help me raise the money to keep the dream alive.

“I cannot do anything without involving someone to read text messages even when text messages are supposed to be private”, she added. To help Victoria Achieve her dream, you can send your token to Fidelity account Number: 6019269262 with the account name: Ekesi Uchechukwu Victoria or call her on 08063398815.
