A former governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Oyo State in 2019, Chief Bolaji Ayorinde (SAN), yesterday, urged the electorate to support continuity by voting for Governor Seyi Makinde on Saturday, March 18, 2023.
Ayorinde gave the charge while reacting to the alignment of the SDP gubernatorial candidate to Makinde’s re-election bid.
Also, the PDP in Oyo State, yesterday, said Makinde and the party would record landslide victories in no fewer than 29 local councils in Saturday’s governorship and House of Assembly polls.
Publicity Secretary of the party in the state, Akeem Olatunji, in a statement in Ibadan, urged Senator Teslim Folarin of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to brace up and not delay to congratulate Makinde upon his declaration as the winner and governor-elect.
Meanwhile, a leader of the Accord Party (AP) in Oyo State and member of the House of Representatives, Shina Peller, has collapsed his political structure for Makinde and officially defected to the PDP.
Peller, who defected with thousands of his supporters at a ceremony held at Ode-Oba, Iseyin, Oyo State, urged the electorate to vote for Makinde for continuity of good governance.
