Rev Dr. Samuel Dante Dali also stated that the church now had I, 275 widows, 174 churches destroyed while 58 per cent of the abducted Chibok girls were from EYN.

He continued: “A total of 98 pastors and deacons were scattered, while 7,000 were displaced in Mubi, Adamawa, Bauchi, Gombe and Maiduguri in Borno State.”

On Christmas message delivered at the occasion, he thanked God for preserving the church through years of insurgency. “Even though I am at an Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camp in Jos, we thank God for keeping us alive to celebrate the birth of Christ.”

He therefore called on the rich to always remember the less-privileged poor and share in the love of Christ, adding that “Emmanuel is the reason for the season.

No human being can take the place of God here. Christ is the true Prince of Peace; He saves the people from corruption and other vices. For God so loved Nigeria and today, we can thank Him for keeping us alive to witness 2015 Christmas.”
