Recently, parents, friends and well-wishers of Winfield Montessori School, Abijo, Lekki, Lagos joined the management and students to celebrate this year’s graduating pupils.

The ceremony, which held at the school’s premises, witnessed a large turnout of guests, who graced the colourful and memorable event.

The Director of the school, Mrs. Evelyn Chukujama, in her speech, borrowed Ataxia Tauscher’s (an Artist) saying: “We worry about what a child will become tomorrow, while we forget that he is someone today.”

She said: “As parents and teachers, we put a lot of time and energy into preparing our children for their future, but there is also need to equip them with life-long skills to prepare them for adulthood. It is our collective responsibility, as we guide and mould these future leaders, for it is on them that the future depends.”

She urged parents to be security-conscious, as well as sensitise their children on some security tips. Some highlights of the event include display of drama and choreography skills by the pupils, as well as cultural dance, among others.

Winfield Montessori School is a community of children, parents, and administrators, working together to create a positive environment that lays foundation for habits that support happiness and success in school and life.
