A coalition of women interest groups have called on the Enugu State Government to pass the National Coalition on Affirmative Action (NCAA) Bill into law to give prime position in the society to women.

The call was made on Monday when the leadership of NCAA led by the Coordinator, Mrs. Nkiru Ugwu Nwabueze, paid courtesy visit on the Speaker of Enugu State House of Assembly, Edward Ubosi in his office at the Assembly complex.

Nwabueze, who explained the need for the bill be passed to law said that already five out of the 36 states of the federation have passed the bill into law and implored that Enugu should make haste and join the league of states that adopted the bill.

Replying, Ubosi said they would look into the bill with a view to passing it into law.
