Women-owned fashion brands for FashInnovation

Three fashion brands owned by Nigerian women will featured at the 2020 virtual FashInnovation tagged ‘Worldwide Talks NYFW’ ahead of New York Fashion Week on September 10. 

These brands include Zizi Cardow, Morin. O and Ita’i Our Cloth, who had come together to empower women and develop communities, to revive the art of weaving.

Two previous worldwide talks of FashInnovation (founded by Marcelo Guimaraes and Jordana Guimaraes) were huge successes in over 120 countries. There were one million organic impressions, over 150,000 viewers, a 3D runway show and incredible speakers, including Diane Von Furstenberg, Mara Hoffman, Kenneth Cole, Nikki Reed, DJ Steve Aoki, Coco Rocha, and 200 others.

According to a press statement by the organisers, the event to be moderated by United States-based journalist and producer, Oyiza Adaba, would be streamed live.
