British author JK Rowling has described Donald Trump as worse than the best known villain in Harry Porter stories, Voldermort, after the Republican presidential candidate called for a “a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States.”

“How horrible. Voldemort was nowhere near as bad,” Rowling tweeted along with a BBC report on Trump’s call to ban Muslims.

Rowling, who created Voldermort as the main arch-enemy of Harry Porter in her fantasy novel series, definitely thinks Trump would not be a good president considering that the Dark Lord is thought of as better being than him.

Voldemort, who is is the central villain in the series, is a “half-blood,” which is a term used to describe a person who is half-wizard and half “muggle” or non-wizard. He is considered to be the most powerful “Dark Wizard” of all time and his mission is to purify the wizard race from “muggles.” A move which is akin to Trump trying to purify America from Muslims.

Actor Samuel L. Jackson has also criticised the Republican front runner for his controversial utterances, saying that he would move to south Africa if Trump is elected president.
