A Muslim Cleric, Bashir Mohammed-Sarki has urged Muslim faithful to write their will while still alive so as to avert crises associated with asset sharing after their demise.

The cleric gave the advice in an interview with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lafia on Saturday.

Mohammed-Sarki said if all Muslim faithful would follow the true teachings of the Quran and Sunnah of Prophet Mohammed (Peace be Upon Him), the society would be peaceful for all.

He lamented lack of valid document on Will bequeathed to families of deceased Muslim as a major factor responsible for inherited crisis among people.

“People must obey the commandment of Allah and write a Will for the benefit of the families they leave behind. The Will gives details on who gets what from the properties left behind and prevents conflict among family members,” he said.

He called on people and religious leaders, to respect every valid Will left by deceased relations.
