You are autocratic, retired Air Marshal Ajobena tells Tinubu

Delta elder statesman and former Military Administrator of Abia State, Air Vice Marshal Frank O. Ajobena (rtd), on Tuesday, added his voice to the condemnation of President Bola Tinubu’s declaration of a state of emergency on Rivers State’s executive and legislative arms.
Ajobena said the President’s action is nothing but autocratic governance, as he lacks the constitutional power to remove the Governor and legislators.
Ajobena, who stated this in a chat with newsmen at his country home in Mereje, Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State, said the crisis between FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, and Governor Siminalayi Fubara, which led to the suspension of the Governor and the legislators, is an aberration and unconstitutional.

He therefore advised the Presidency and Wike to allow Fubara to complete his tenure without any hindrance.
He said what is important now is for the government to address the security challenges in the country and combat starvation in all its ramifications.
While lamenting the frequent clashes between farmers and herders, which have led to the loss of lives, Ajobena advised that cattle rearers be instructed to establish ranches as expected, rather than roaming farmlands and destroying crops.
