The last is yet to be heard of the crisis rocking the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State, following the resolve by the executive committee members of Galadima Ward to suspend the chairman, Tukur Danfulani.

In Nasarawa State, aggrieved members of the party are calling for the resignation of the Chairman, Aliyu Bello.

Youth leader of the Galadima Ward, AbahurairaIlyasu, made this known to reporters after notifying the Abdullahi Ganduje-led National Working Committee (NWC) of the decision, in Abuja.

Ilyasu explained that the punitive measure against Danfulani was taken after due consultation with stockholders of the party in the state.

He adduced a lack of attention to party activities at the ward level, causing disunity among party members across all levels in the state, misplacement of duties and responsibilities and politics of segregation between party members as reasons for the suspension of Danfulani.

“Given this, 16 of 27 ward executives have signed for the suspension and that remains our stand,” he stressed.

He called on the Ganduje-led NWC to appoint a caretaker chairman to lead the party before the next convention.

RECENT developments in Nasarawa APC indicate the party politics of 2017 is dividing the party.

The aggrieved members claimed that the process that brought in Bello as state chairman of the party did not follow due process, calling for his removal, if the party must toe the right path.

The faction also alleged that Bello was conscripted by Governor Abdullahi Sule and few persons in the party to serve their interest by working ahead of 2027 for Senator Aliyu Wadada, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) before he won his senatorial seat.
