Zuriel Oduwole interviews her 15th world leader, President Alpha Conde of Guinea
THE world’s most influential child and the globe’s youngest film-maker, 12-year-old Nigerian girl, Zuriel Oduwole, has began the month of June on an exciting note, meeting and interviewing her 15th world leader – President Alpha Conde of Guinea.
Last year, Africa awoke to the advent of the Ebola epidemic across West Africa, which had its origins of outbreak in Guinea. Within weeks, the entire world was on red alert to the possibility of the outbreak of this disease.
Within this period, Zuriel launched a children’s hand sanitiser campaign in Nigeria against the disease in her own small way to fight the spread of the epidemic among children.
As she plans to make a short documentary on the Ebola episode for release next year, she met with the President of Guinea, Alpha Conde, to talk about where his country is today, now that the disease is almost completely eradicated in the entire West African sub-region. He also shared with her his perception of the ECOWAS region, and where he wants his country to be a few years from now.
