nigeria problem is that oil is still selling at decent price, and our leader fail to see the future of oil. prices are going down. the other problem with nigeria is that we are yet to get a true innovative and creative leader. a person that would think outside the box. For a country with so much farm land, and youth unemployment coupled with huge demand for agric produces. i can’t understand why the federal govt hasn’t leased a plot of land to youths to farm the food we import. this youth could be put thur 3-5 month training, leased a plot of land with delayed lease payment, and given the seed and equipment to start a farming operation. the american govt as rich as it is, lease federal land to ranchers to graze their livestock for a small fee. what this means is that a farmer doesn’t need lot of land to raise cow. we in nigeria can pick 12 most imported food, and tell this youth to farm it. with good supervision, constant training and help with product sale, we can begin to move the needle toward less importation of food. this farms would breed processing plants and other youth would be employed. God has blessed nigeria with the best of everything. our farm product are considered among the best with out any input. we have the best oil to refine, we have every mineral from gold to diamond. we have land , water and human capacity. so it must be the leaders that fail us.
