SIR: The eight years of Suswam in Benue State have brought nothing but poverty, stagnated educational system and so on. Therefore, I must thank the people of the state for the job well done.

letterSIR: The eight years of Suswam in Benue State have brought nothing but poverty, stagnated educational system and so on. Therefore, I must thank the people of the state for the job well done.

This is because they have finally put Suswam in his right place by voting against him in the just concluded general elections. The death of Charles Ayede, former Senior Media Advisor to ACN, now APC, is among the issues that can never be forgotten under Suswam’s watch.

Also, the killing by unknown persons of an innocent young man based in Katsina- Ala, just because he was always playing songs praising opposition candidates in the state, is yet another issue that can never be forgotten under Suswam’s administration.

The eight-month strike by primary school teachers in the state, due to lackadaisical attitude of the governor towards education, is another issue to be remembered always.

The death of College of Education, Katsina-Ala, based on unpaid salaries and allowances of the lecturers, is another matter to be recorded. Suswam owed, and is still owing workers in the state. If not, lecturers at Benue State University shouldn’t be on strike; also, staff of Radio Benue should not have been angry.

Even the primary school teachers, which Governor Suswam claimed he had settled, are still crying, because paying them half-salary does not mean ‘settled’.
