The Immersion: The Petra Meeting by Pastor Ayo Ajani that shook Lagos
Lagos witnessed a spiritual awakening as The Immersion, a transformative three-day camp meeting organised by Petra Christian Centre, captivated thousands at the D’Podium Events Center, Ikeja, from December 6th to 8th. With the theme “This is Jubilee,” the camp meeting delivered a divine encounter that left attendees uplifted, inspired, and renewed.
The camp meeting commenced on Friday, December 6th with an atmosphere charged with anticipation. The first session set the tone with fervent prayers and electrifying praise.
Pastor Adeola Ajani, Co-Senior Pastor of Petra Christian Centre, ignited the audience with a stirring charge on the ever-available power of God’s Word. “Not only is the power of God made available when the Word is taught, but His glory also comes upon you, causing you to break forth from glory to glory,” she declared.
Drawing from scriptures like 1 Corinthians 1:17-18 and Mark 6:1-2, Pastor Adeola encouraged believers to cultivate a hunger for the Word and activate faith to receive the impossible. This charge transitioned seamlessly into an hour of worship, where hearts were surrendered, tears flowed, and the presence of God moved mightily.
The atmosphere reached new heights as Pastor Ayo Ajani, Global Senior Pastor of Petra Christian Centre, delivered a profound teaching on The Mystery of Jubilee. With revelatory insight, he proclaimed, “Jubilee is not what we look forward to; it’s what we are born into.”
Anchored in scriptures such as Leviticus 25:10, Psalm 65:4-5, and Luke 4:17, Pastor Ayo described Jubilee as God’s “reversal hack”—a divine provision restoring everything to its original intent. He outlined the rights conferred by Jubilee: release, rest, and restoration, emphasising the pivotal role of atonement in securing liberty.
The session concluded with powerful prophetic declarations, preparing hearts for more divine revelations.
Day Two began with a vibrant morning session, featuring teachings that dissected the essence of Jubilee. Pastor Ayo’s message, Faith for Jubilee, was a clarion call to believers: “It takes faith to access what God has for us.” Quoting Mark 9:23 and Romans 12:3, he reminded attendees that faith’s measure is sufficient to achieve the impossible. “If your faith hasn’t made you look foolish yet, you’re not walking in faith,” he challenged.
Pastor Nuel Momoh followed with a thought-provoking teaching on Enforcing Jubilee by Light, asserting that “light gives dominion, not just confidence.” Drawing on revelation knowledge, he urged believers to step into their God-given authority.
The morning concluded with another impactful word from Pastor Ayo on Maintaining Jubilee. “Liberty is costly,” he affirmed. “It was bought at the price of atonement and must be defended against the enemy’s corrupting influences.”

The evening’s spiritual intensity heightened as Pastor Adeola taught on The Joy of Jubilee. “In Jubilee, there is access to the divine plan,” she declared, grounding her message in Hebrews 10:16-22 and Isaiah 61:6.
Pastor Ayo’s closing teaching, My Jubilee Rights, was a compelling exploration of atonement theories, emphasising, “Jubilee isn’t just freedom—it’s liberty with rights.” His declarations left the congregation chanting and rejoicing as they embraced the assurance, “IT IS DONE!”
The final day, December 8th, was breathtaking from start to finish. An energetic praise session ushered attendees into a morning filled with life-changing teachings. Pastor Joseph Zimughan inspired the congregation with his message on Enforcing Liberty by Stewardship, emphasising that “Jubilee frees us to serve.”
In her final session, Pastor Adeola explored Living the Jubilee Life, challenging believers to embrace their rights in Christ and fulfil their prophetic destinies. “It is illegal to be born again and still live in captivity,” she proclaimed.
Pastor Ayo concluded the morning with a brief charge and prophetic declarations: “It is your season of restoration! Every bruise is healed, and every weight is lifted. Jubilee is here, and it is yours to claim!”
The camp meeting ended with the electrifying Jubilee Night, featuring testimonies, fervent prayers, and profound words from Pastor Ayo Ajani. “Jubilee is not just a season; it is a person—Jesus Christ. Through Him, we are liberty personified,” he reminded the congregation.
