Ubulu-Uku, den of armed robbers
SIR: Permit me to draw the attention of the Commissioner of Police (CP), the Area Commander (AC) and other relevant authorities in Delta State and within the immediate vicinity of Ubulu-Uku in Aniocha South Local Government Area that the people of Ubulu-Uku Kingdom no longer go about their businesses freely because the ancient and peaceable town has become armed robbers’ den.
I was recently attacked by the robbers along Enugu-Iyi/Ubulu-Uku Road and was dispossessed of my laptop, handset and other necessary gadgets for information gathering and dissemination, including money. I narrowly missed death in the hands of the deadly men of the underworld.
It is a truism that robbery takes place round the clock between Uteogbeje junction and Obior town, and after Obior town, Enugu-Iyi quarters in Ubulu-Uku, and thereafter between Ubulu-Uku and Issa-Ogwashi.
