The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, yesterday, alleged that President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC) are importing foreigners from Niger and Chad Republics to rig the Presidential election on February 16.Addressing the crowd at the party’s Presidential campaign rally in Benin, Atiku urged party members and supporters to protect their votes and kick against any form of rigging.

He said: “You have seen how they are bringing people from neighbouring countries of Niger and Chad. They want to use them to rig the February 16 election. They are coming into your country to turn you into slaves, so you should not allow it.“I appeal to you to vote for PDP and after voting, you should stay there till they count the votes because if you leave, they will cheat you and rig the election and if you allow them, they are rigging your future.”

While assuring party members that 70 percent of his cabinet, if elected would be young men and women, Atiku said he is the bridge between the old and younger generations. The PDP national chairman, Uche Secondus, while sending a strong warning to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) not to use Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) to rig the election, said if the Presidential election was rigged, there would be chaos in the country. He urged party faithful to be vigilant and protect their votes.
