The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed readiness to cooperate with the newly appointed National Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof Joas Ojo Amupitan.

APC’s Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Duro Meseko described Amupitan as a perfect pick by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“I can tell you that anybody that is announced as the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the national chairman of INEC based on the powers confered on him by the constitution is welcomed by the party as we have confidence in him and we have no reason to be opposed to that decision.

“We welcome the person and we assure the person that APC will work with him within the ambit of the law. We wish him well.”
