Amidst the much-awaited Edo state governorship election scheduled for today across all polling units in the state, a former National Assembly candidate for the House of Representatives, Mr. Dickson Oarhe has urged Edolites to vote wisely to ensure a prosperous and robust democracy with its numerous positive dividends.

He also harped on the need for all political parties, candidates of the various parties, supporters, interest/pressure groups and movements including the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to tread the path of justice, equity, transparency, fairness, truth and rule of law.

Also, a statement released by the umbrella body of his political group, Dickson Oarhe Campaign Network (DO-CAN), and signed by its director of strategy, Chief Gideon Oboye and interim coordinator, Publicity/New Media, Mr. Chukwuma Kingsley (DO-CAN), he appealed to the Edo people to come out and vote.

He added that Saturday´s election is a contest of one big united family.

“In the light of this, we are appealing to Edolites to make the right decision now through their vote. Given the critical moment and reality across the board, we need someone who will further attract investors.

“We need someone who can create wealth and that can further boost the state economy for the overall benefit and well-being of all Edolites,” he asserted.
