There was a massive turnout of voters at Iyamho Primary School, Ward 10, unit 1, Etsako council of Edo State where Senator Adams Oshiomhole cast his vote.

Oshiomhole applauded INEC and the electorates for the peaceful conduct of the election, as security personnel took centre stage to ensure orderliness.

Speaking shortly after casting his vote, Oshiomhole said “With what I’m seeing here, the women, particularly the aged ones came out in their numbers to vote for choice candidate compared to the male.”

The former governor of the State, while expressing satisfaction with the exercise, tasked the political class to scale up the number of women appointments.

At Azama Primary School, Jattu, the base of the deputy governor, Phillips Shaibu, voters were unable to vote following the failure of the BAVAS.

At about 12:25 pm, potential voters were seen milling around waiting anxiously to cast their as INEC assured those already accredited would vote.

Shaibu expressed disappointment over the malfunction of the BAVAS, saying it may be a deliberate move to deny him and his people to exercise their rights.
