#EdoDecides2024: INEC resumes collation as APC claims Oredo, wins in 11 LGAs
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) collation centre for the Edo State governorship election has reconvened after a recess of over three hours.
Returning Officer Prof. Faruk Adamu Kuta,who is also Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Minna, called for the break around 2:19 pm after announcing results from 16 local government areas.
Collation resumed at approximately 5:15 pm, with the APC winning in Oredo LGA, securing 30,780 votes against the PDP’s 24,938 and the LP’s 5,389.
No results from any polling unit were cancelled.
With Oredo LGA results announced, only one local government area remains. APC’s Monday Okpebholo continues to lead ahead of PDP’s Asue Ighodalo, winning in 11 out of 17 declared LGAs.
