The Majority Leader of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Mr Sanjo Adedoyin, on Friday, quit the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The lawmaker representing Ogbomoso South made this known in a statement he signed in Ibadan, the state capital.

Adedoyin, a two-term legislator, added that he would be joining the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).

With Adeodoyin’s exit from the PDP, the total number of lawmakers in the state to have resigned is now four.

He slammed the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) at the centre for the instability in the opposition party.

Adedoyin said his exit from the PDP followed the leadership saga facing the party.

Three PDP lawmakers had on Thursday resigned from the PDP at the House of Assembly, which had 28 members and four from the APC, for the same reason.

One of the lawmakers who previously resigned, Mrs Bisi Oluranti, from Ogbomoso North, disclosed that the ongoing battle rocking the PDP has continued to undermine the party’s stability, prompting her decision to leave.

Adedoyin noted his decision to leave the PDP followed a deep reflection and consultation based on his belief in credible opposition.
