In a statement , the aspirant argued that:”
at this critical moment in our democratic journey, I respectfully appeal to the Government and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to carefully reconsider aspects of the current electoral timelines, particularly as they relate to the processes for the purchase and return of nomination forms, screening exercises, and party primaries.

Over the last few months, Nigeria’s political environment has witnessed major political developments, internal crises, litigations, defections, alignments, and restructuring within several political parties.

“These realities have created uncertainties that may affect many qualified Nigerians who are willing and prepared to contest for various political positions across the country.

In view of these developments, I humbly urge INEC and the relevant authorities to critically evaluate whether the present timelines provide adequate room for fairness, inclusiveness, due process, and proper political participation for all stakeholders involved.”

He said ,”this appeal is not intended to undermine any institution or political party. Rather, it is a patriotic call for reflection and necessary adjustments that will strengthen our democracy, reduce avoidable disputes, and protect the confidence of the Nigerian people in the electoral process.

“I am also using this medium to respectfully encourage other political parties, aspirants, stakeholders, and concerned Nigerians to join in appealing to INEC to reconsider the wisdom behind the current timelines and assess the possible impact on aspirants, party processes, and democratic participation nationwide.”

According to him, Nigeria’s democracy must continue to evolve in a way that promotes transparency, justice, political stability, and equal opportunity for all citizens regardless of political affiliation.

“May wisdom, patriotism, fairness, and justice guide every decision taken for the peace, unity, and progress of our dear country .”
