Ace comedian and politician, Roland Igbadumhe, widely known by his stage name “Youngest Old Man,” has congratulated Jarret Tenebe on his re-election as chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State.

Tenebe was returned unopposed for a second term by delegates drawn from the 192 wards of the state, reaffirming the party’s confidence in his leadership.

The state congress, held at the Victor Uwaifo Creative Hub in Benin City, saw delegates unanimously re-elect members of the state executive council through a voice vote. The exercise was conducted by the Chairman of the National State Congress Committee for Edo State, Kabiru Ajana, in what party members described as a peaceful and orderly process.

Igbadumhe, a prominent entertainer who rose to fame performing at shows such as Night of a Thousand Laughs, AY Live, and Julius Agwu’s Crack Ya Ribs, praised Tenebe for his commitment to the party and his role in maintaining unity within the APC in the state.

The Edo-born entertainer, who is also active in politics, said the overwhelming support from delegates reflects the trust party members have in Tenebe’s leadership.

“It is a massive victory for our party leader in Edo. His return demonstrates the confidence of the people in his leadership and unmistakable support for the executive in the state, particularly Governor Monday Okpebholo,” Igbadumhe, who hails from Okpekpe, said.

He added that Tenebe’s re-election is a testament to his ability to steer the affairs of the party while supporting the developmental agenda of Governor Okpebholo.

Igbadumhe expressed confidence that the APC chairman would continue to strengthen the party and advance the administration’s transformative programmes across the state.

Beyond entertainment, Igbadumhe has built a reputation for civic engagement and philanthropy. He previously served as Senior Special Assistant on Entertainment to former Edo State Governor Adams Oshiomhole and has remained active in grassroots initiatives, including building an orphanage in his hometown of Okpekpe and organising support programmes for widows and young people.
