FIABCI’s new leadership pledges professionalism, transparency

The new President of the International Real Estate Federation, (FIABCI), Nigeria chapter, Mr Akin Opatola, has pledged to enhance professionalism and commitment to values of integrity, and transparency.

Opatola committed during his inauguration speech at the association’s yearly general meeting in Lagos. He noted that over the years, the exceptional leadership of various elected presidents, including individuals has enriched the association.

Opatola said: “I’m committed to upholding the values of integrity, transparency, and professionalism that have been the cornerstone of our dear association, which was registered as a chapter in 1972. I accept with a deep sense of responsibility, our election as members of the executive and board of our federation. This position, I humbly accept with immense gratitude and a profound sense of submission to the demands of our members.”

He lauded senior colleagues and members, who have provided incredible support, and stakeholders, who placed their trust and confidence in the new leadership, as well as appreciated the past leadership for the services rendered to the association.

Opatola, an estate surveyor and valuer, further assured that the new executives would continue to strive to improve on the fortunes of the association and wouldn’t be oblivious to the enormity of challenges and tasks ahead, and ensure that the association’s mandate and vision are not only met but also be visible and impactful to the business community.

Other members elected include: Mr Ayodeji Odeleye (Vice President); Alfred Osagie (Secretary-General); Tolu Bawa-Allah (Assistant Secretary-General). Others are Mrs Uduak Okenwa (Treasurer); Ms Rei Obaigbo (Publicity Secretary), and Mr Kenny Nwankwo (President), young professional members.
