NIESV postpones conference
For safety of members, the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers, (NIESV), has postponed its 2020 yearly conference/ annual general meeting and the golden jubilee celebration.
The institution disclosed that the decision was in reference to the incidence of the pandemic CONVID-19 spreading across the world and the nation and in line with the social distancing advice by Federal Government.
In a memo released by the NIESV president and chairman of national council at the weekend, Rowland Abonta, it stated that further to the suspension, the ongoing election through electronic voting will continue and close at the stated date planned by its electoral committee while the outcome of the election would be declared during its re-sechuled AGM.
Abonta also said during the period of suspension, skeletal online services will be offered by the institution through its liaison offices in Lagos and Enugu respectively.
