REAL estate industry in Nigeria is increasingly being enhanced as a leading global manufacturer and integrator of comprehensive security solutions, Stanley Security has entered into Nigerian market, courtesy of EMEL Group of company, Lagos.

With a partnership arrangement between Stanley and EMEL, the former for the first time last week made inroad into Nigeria, exhibiting several of its products at the just concluded Lagos Architect Forum, LAF 6.0.

The security property solutions, according to the companies cover all kinds of property, be it retail, residential or commercial. Schools, hospitals, and government facilities, can use them.

The world’s largest retailers, financial service institutions, and airports do, too. Besides, the AFP Furniture Production facility of the Julius Berger Plc (JB), has assured Nigerians of meeting their needs in the production and delivery of quality furniture works of international standard.

Unveiling the partnership last week, STANLEY’s Project Proposals & Pre-Sales Marketing Manager, Middle East & Africa of STANLEY Security, Mr. Jayaprakash Radhakrishnan, said his company, which has been in existence since 1843 was determined to contribute to the ever growing construction industry in Nigeria through its assorted quality products, many of which were the first generation of the products in the industry.

“We are committed to adding to the capacity of every professional in the Nigerian construction industry to deliver top notch security products and services to their customers,” he said.

He informed visitors to the exhibition that STANLEY’S extensive portfolio of products including architectural hardware fit for either commercial and residential; glass accessories, electronic locks and automatic doors among others, are available nationwide.

They are being distributed by Emel Building Materials, a subsidiary of the Emel Group, a leading business conglomerate, operating in Nigeria since 1966.

He explained further that part of the unique offerings of STANLEY products, which have been tested in more than one hundred locations, is that they are designed for integration into the hardware and software structure of any organisation that employs their use.

According to Radhakrishnan: “STANLEY Security has over the years developed various custom fit products for institutions across the financial, educational, healthcare and transportation sectors.

We are very sure that builders in Nigeria will have a dependable ally in every STANLEY product they embrace just as builders all over the world are able to testify” Radhakrishnan said his firm has comprehensive security solutions for any application.

“Stanley CSS didn’t become an industry-leading electronic security integrator and installer overnight. Our decades of experience designing, installing, monitoring, and integrating access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and fire detection systems not only transformed us into an industry-leading security provider, but also made us a trusted partner for a countless number of organizations across a wide variety of industries.”

He added that his firm, which deals in both electrical and mechanical aspect, produces state-of-the-art automatic entrance systems for an array of commercial, institutional, industrial, and transportation applications.

“In addition to manufacturing and installing these automatic entrance products, Stanley security solutions offers comprehensive service and maintenance programs that can be customized to your ever-changing needs”, he said.

On the electrical solution, Radhakrishnan says Stanley has capacity produce and maintaining sliding door systems, folding door systems, swinging door systems, revolving door systems and sensors and controls.

“Whether your business is in an office building, college campus, school, retail store, government facility, school, hospital, or any other commercial facility, Stanley CSS is uniquely poised to design, install, monitor, and service a security solution featuring cutting edge technologies built for your needs.”

STANLEY Security was founded in 1843 and has been listed on the New York Stock Exchange since 1966. Chief Executive Officer, EMEL Group, Mr. Naresh M. Aswani said his firm decided to broker the partnership to further reduce the housing deficit in Nigeria, adding that their products are within the right quality and price range.

We know that there are a lot of cheaper products in Nigeria, which do not last. But Stanley is bringing to the stable tested and affordable products some of which are fitted to residential, commercial, retail properties.

He said that, STANLEY brings all the products and servicing, while EMEL does the marketing, after sales training of artisans on installation. “We are involved in backward integration of training of people.

“STANLEY is new in Nigeria, but everybody we have spoken to is very happy and delighted about the products. We are hopeful that with the new government coming on board, the real estate industry will do better as more opportunities are unveiling by the day.”

AFP Sales’ Manager, Uche Uzoewulu, while speaking to visitors and participants who visited AFP Furniture Production stand, said the company will continue to invest in research and production of furniture materials that will meet set international standard at all time.

“AFP is the furniture production facility of the Julius Berger Plc. We are into production of furniture work for private individual, schools, hotels and multinational corporations. AFP is a production facility of JB that is proudly Nigerian because we depend on local raw materials for the production of our finishing work.

“We have competent hands and production machinery that can produce customised furniture specification given to us. Our work is not limited to production alone but we produce, deliver and install at any location in Nigeria.

According to him, local merchants are equally benefiting from the policy because AFP is reaching out to massive timber dealers to get quality wood materials from them. The beneficiary of the efforts is not limited to final consumers alone as woods merchants are vital to our production.
