Having released hit songs, Your Mercy, Time, and Peace Around The World, and proven that she has all it takes to hold her own in the nation’s music industry, all set for the Delta State-born gospel singer, Anne Emmanuel Ibrahim, popularly known as Anny’s Journey to Self album concert, which holds tomorrow, at the Shebba Centre, Mobolaji Bank Anthony (Behind Briscoe Motors), Ikeja, Lagos

Speaking about the album and concert, Anny said the concert was put together to tell her story of how God transformed her life from darkness to light and how God has brought her into the light of His Word.

She said, “The album is a summary of my total experience from a place of struggles — a place of fear to faith, a place of confusion to clarity. The album is a summary of my total experience and how God brought me this far by his grace.”

“I have found my place of comfort and rest; I have discovered how much creative I can be and come up with lovely and brilliant songs that I have not be able to do before. All of these have been possible all because I began to see myself in the light of God’s word despite the critics,” she added.

Asked why it took her so long a time to come up with another album after her last, which was released four years ago, Anny adds says, “It took me this late because I want more than what I was. I want something unique and different. I wanted to work on getting better on my craft.”

“I am glad I am better, bolder, and stronger. When I look back from where I am coming from all I see is the grace of God. I remember when nothing would work, how fast we can get a broken but God came through and made everything work fine. He put a song in my heart and told me never to fear again but put trust in him and be fearless,” she stated.
