Home flood

If there is anything that changes the narrative of what a home should be, it would be one that is vulnerable to downpours.

This is because your home should be the safest warm place to be during the rainy season however heavy the downpours. So if yours is struggling with leaking roofs, unsteady ceilings, unfastened windows, unsecured entrances, weak foundations, and other loopholes that allow rainwater into your interior, you may want to fix it.

Often, weather predictions and forecasts are usually not completely accurate during the rainy season, making it impossible to tell when the next stormy downpour that could pull off a bad roof or other shortfalls that makes your home vulnerable would happen. This is why you need to have experts check and ensure that all loose ends are tightened to have a warm space during the wet season.
How To Keep Rain Water At Bay From Your Interior Space

. Fix and prevent clogs that can cause water damage to your roof.
. Keep trees trimmed and away from the roof to prevent leaves from clogging roof gutters.
. If there is standing water, adjust the roof gutters so they gently slope toward the downspout allowing water to drain.
. Ensure downspouts funnel water away from the building to prevent water from entering the foundation basement.
. Check wall air conditioner units for openings and ensure pipe size is adequate and water is running and flowing freely. Also check for gaps, cracks, or other damage that indicate improper caulking around the edge of the sleeve to the exterior of the building as this increases

Vulnerability to water entry.
. Check for unfastened roofs and seal them up as high wind can rip off the cover of your roof.
. Install a flood barrier around your house or at your entrance door as the case may be if the pathway is low to keep flood at bay.
