Following Audu Maikori’s decision to step down as the Chief Executive Officer of Chocolate City Music after 10 successful years, and the announcement of Jude Abaga popularly known as M.I as the new CEO, management of the label has again announced a shift directorate of the music outfit.

In the new development, Audu Maikori was announced as the President of the Music Group effective, July 1. With the new appointment, Audu Maikori, who founded Chocolate City with Paul Okeugo and Yahaya Maikori in 2005, will join fellow board members, Hakeem Bello Osagie, Yahaya Maikori and Paul Okeugo to direct the affairs of the music label.

It would be recalled that his leadership at the label brought immense successes in different areas as the label dropped 10 albums, signed 14 artistes and won several awards.

Also, as part of the ongoing changes at the music label, Iceprince Zamani has been announced and would assume the role of the Vice President.

The label in recent time opened a new outlet in Gbagada Estate, Phase 2, Gbagada, Lagos, a move Weekend Beat gathered is aimed at expanding the business arm of the group.
