Known as a month of socialising, women always build a whole new wardrobe for Ramadan as well as Eid. The challenge isn’t just striking the right note between modesty, tradition and style, but doing that while not blowing your year’s budget on clothes and showing up in your standard festive outfit.

Depending on the part of the country you are in Nigeria, rituals can differ a little bit and this counts when it comes to clothing traditions.

On the day of Eid Muslims are required to look their best, seeing people in their gorgeous dresses and looking their best is an amazing feeling. People go for different looks on this day depending on their taste, but it is advisable to dress modestly since it is a religious celebration.

Abaya for ladies during Eid is classy, elegant, totally modest and has all qualities. It is bold and at the same time simple with no need for jewellery. This look is the most common among Muslim women around the world because it is ready-to-wear outfit, with no hassles.

Kaftan styles for men are another way for the style-conscious man to go native in a stylish way during the Eid el fitr festival, especially the embroidered kaftan. It suits all men and makes them look super handsome. The African Kaftan has gone to a whole new level; you have the long or short kaftan with long sleeve and embroidered neck.
