Dull uneven skin can be caused by, over-exposure to the sun, medical conditions, excess exfoliating and prolonged use of toxic chemical-based skin care products which contain hydroquinone(HQ), mercury and steroids. The market is flooded with skin-lightening creams and lotions with the above chemicals that ultimately damage the skin. Plus, many of us get confused and end up using the wrong cream, soap or serum on our skin which ends up making things worse. Then many jump on the all-natural bandwagon slathering on every oil they hear of in a bid to get their glow back. Does having great skin have to be this hard? The answer is no. There are several way to have that radiant healthy glowing skin without stressing out.

The following tips will keep your complexion radiant and glowing:
. Wear sunscreen daily: Sunscreen is very essential to the skin especially when stepping out. The sun could cause freckles, dark patches and sun burns, it could even cause cancer. Everyone needs sunscreen, especially babies, pregnant women and lighter skin tones. Try and use lotions and creams with SPF or sunscreen every day. This will protect your skin from tanning, sunburns and hyper pigmentation, keeping your complexion even.

. Use skin care products high in anti-oxidants: In addition to eating a colourful healthy diet, be sure to look for skin care products with Vitamin C, A, E, Niacinamide or CoQ10 (co-enzyme 10). You would have to read the ingredient list at the back. The above are just a few anti-oxidants that are proven to aid in the prevention of skin damage as well as skin rejuvenation.

. Cleanse morning and night: Take good care of your skin by cleansing twice a day. This helps to remove dirt and oil and also gives a healthy and clear complexion. Use a face cloth when washing your face or your body. This serves as gentle exfoliation without causing any damage. You can use the face cloth at least, three times a week. Doing this removes dead skin cells, preventing dull skin.

. Eat colourful fruits and veggies: Fruits and vegetables are very high in antioxidants like vitamin A, C, E and K which are necessary for beautiful skin. Eating natural and healthy fruits and veggies also increases the amount of copper, selenium and silica in your blood stream that your skin needs to look fresh, firm, radiant and healthy. So load up on these superfoods; strawberries, kiwi, grapefruit, avocado, greens, cucumber, spinach, pawpaw, apples and melons.
