Tiskies, a new fashion brand was recently unveiled at Lekki, Lagos. The event, which took place amidst fanfare, witnessed a lot of dignitaries who came to show support for their own.

The CEO of Tiskies Global Nigeria Limited, Mrs. Abiola Aluko said that Tiskies is a ready-to-wear garments manufacturing brand that produces contemporary African-inspired bold fabric designs and styles available in small and big sizes. “We are dedicated to sharing our true authentic Naijacentric stories through fashion with the world.”

“This marks the beginning of a new era for the fashion industry in Nigeria as our high quality control process not only ensures the delivery of consistent value to the fashion sense of our royal customers, but serves as a significant tonic for the diversification of Nigerian economy thereby promoting national economic development.”

President, Fashion Designers Association of Nigeria (FADAN), Funmi Ajila Ladipo, described the unveiling of the brand as a welcome development. She urged Nigerians to patronize and support outfits made by Nigerian designers.

“There is so much money that can be made from making clothes. We must join hands to see how the government can make clothing, not as entertainment but as a business. We have so many creative people in Nigeria. The importance of clothing cannot be over-emphasised,” she said.
