In commemoration of the International Day of the girl child, Hope For African Girls Initiative (HAGi) and the Nigerian Writers Award (NWA) embarked on a two-day visit to schools Kwara States and donated 1000 pairs of school sandals to the pupils.

The schools are Suleiman Muslim School, Bimpe Primary School, Ajoke Nursery and Primary School, Community Primary School, Ibido Alpha; Muslim Community School, Ipe and Community Primary School, Ago Baba Osi.

Tagged, ‘Footsteps To A Better Tomorrow,’ the founder of HAGi, Jennifer Umeh and Modest Diko, project coordinator, Nigeria Writers Award (NWA), said the project was to save the pupils from the hazards of walking barefoot to school.
