Aisha Buhari threads slowly
From all indications, Nigeria’s First Lady, Aisha Buhari, who is a trendsetter by nature, seems to have reduced her public outings since the sickness of her husband, President Muhammadu Buhari, became public item.
The wife of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Dolapo, and wife of the Senate President Bukola Saraki, Toyin, have been representing her at most official functions these days.
Before her last outing last week in Abuja during this year’s Annual National Women Leadership Conference, organised by Lead Bold Resource Consulting Limited, Aisha was said to have skipped a number of occasions, except when she received her husband back from his medical trip to the United Kingdom (UK) some weeks back.
Besides, the President’s wife was said to have remained close to her husband since she allegedly felt that certain persons were bent on cutting her off regarding his health.
Also, she is ostensibly being diplomatic so as not to be seen as obstructing Mrs. Osinbajo, whose husband is holding fort for Buhari, who has since returned to the UK for medical check-up.
