Fayemi and wife, Bisi honoured in hometown

Isan Ekiti, the hometown of Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi, was agog during the celebration of its 26th Unity Day Celebration, as many trooped out in their hundreds to celebrate with the governor and his wife, Bisi.

It was double honours for the family. While the governor received an award, the traditional ruler, Onisan of Isan Ekiti, Oba Gabriel Adejuwon, installed his wife as Erelu Isan. Scores of top personalities also thronged the town of Isan to witness the ceremony, which was a civic reception for Fayemi and his wife on their return to the Government House in Ado Ekiti.

Bisi has earlier been honoured with the title of Ochiorah (People’s Leader) of Imezi Owa in Ezeagu Council of Enugu State.Oba Adejuwon, after the installation, commended Fayemi for his various developmental projects that have brought succour to the people of the state, urging him and his wife to continue with their good works to move the state forward.

Erelu expressed appreciation on the honour bestowed on her husband and herself, promising to work with her husband to embark on projects that would bring the town to limelight.
