Software engineer and founder of NexaScale, Nenne Adora Nwodo, has been honoured with the Forty Under 40 Global Award for Excellence in Software Development.
The ceremony, recently held in Dubai, spotlighted the achievements of 40 young global leaders shaping the future of their respective industries. Organised by Xodus Communications, the Forty Under 40 Global Awards is a prestigious recognition platform celebrating leadership, innovation, and community impact across sectors including technology, finance, health, arts, and more. Nwodo’s win places her among a select group of change-makers pushing the boundaries of innovation on a global scale.
Her non-profit organisation, NexaScale, is dedicated to bridging the tech knowledge gap by providing aspiring professionals with access to simulated work experiences and digital skills development.
Nwodo is also widely known for her advocacy for diversity in tech and her mentorship of emerging developers across Africa.
“Every milestone like this is a reminder of the journey so far, the work still to come, and the importance of community and collaboration in everything I do,” Nwodo said.
Nwodo is a multi-award-winning Software Engineering Manager, leading distributed engineering teams across the US and UK in a top global tech firm. A former Microsoft engineer who contributed to the development of Microsoft Mesh, she has become a celebrated author, international speaker, and thought leader in intelligent cloud systems and platform engineering.
She is the author of five tech books, a Stanford GSB LEAD alumna, and currently a student researcher in Artificial Intelligence at Georgia Tech. Her work continues to influence how the world thinks about tech education and digital transformation in Africa.
Her recognition in Dubai is a win for Nigeria’s tech community and a nod to Africa’s growing influence in global technology and innovation.
