But above all, Khairat, the beautiful wife of former military governor of Niger State Col. Lawan Gwadabe (rtd), has returned to the social klieglight after her rumoured illness that took her out of circulation for some months.

From all indications, it seems she has put behind the dark days and has since started stepping out to parties. The Abuja-based former lawmaker, who presently runs a non-governmental organisation, called Women Widows, was one of the most active senators in her days at the National Assembly.

Khairat, whose father is one of the most powerful men in Ilorin, Kwara State, got married Gwadabe in a top society wedding that shook the whole of Kwara State and beyond in year 2000.
