Hon. Kasunmu during the induction ceremony, the Institute’s Registrar, Mr Victor Oshioluemoh said: “Apart from being a professional member of the institute, the honour was conferred on Hon. Kasunmu as result of his brilliant contributions to the process of lawmaking at the Lagos State House of Assembly as well as his various advocacy activities that have brought smiles to the faces of many.” In his response shortly after his induction, Kasunmu expressed appreciation to the management of the institute and promised to be a worthy ambassador by focusing more on the issues that will make the society better a place through his legislative activities”.

Also admitted to various categories of Fellowship of the Institute were individuals in management and leadership cadre across the country. Also on Sunday, December 6, Kasunmu was presented with the “Community Friendly Lawmaker Award of the Year 2015” by Ikeja City Awards. The award ceremony took place amidst pomp in Ikeja, Lagos.

According to the organisers, Kasunmu emerged winner of the award among other nominees as a result of his numerous activities within Ikeja Constituency 2 which have made life more meaningful to the constituents. His outstanding performance on the floor of the House was also cited as one of the criteria that qualified him for the award
