The singer said she has always had passion for music, which informed her decision to release song like Shomara. “I have always loved singing as I have started singing almost the same time I began my sojourn into broadcasting. I sing because I’m able to express myself before a larger audience, communicate and pass a message across through my lyrics.”

She added, “I started singing professionally in 2007 but took a break to harness my skills as a broadcaster. After establishing myself as a broadcaster I decided to come back to the music world.”

On where she gets her inspiration, Jenny said, “I look at what’s happening around me and address them through music. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a personal experience; I listen to people’s story and write about them.”

She described her style of music as Afro pop, adding, “I dabble with other sounds as well. So, I don’t restrict myself to a particular sound. I’m excited that my music is well received by fans and promise to give my esteemed fans good music.”

Aside singing, she is a TV presenter, a writer, a producer, a reporter, a voiceover artiste (The familiar voice on HIP TV news), a content developer, a blogger and an entrepreneur.
