After months of working on his materials, singer Ikechukwu John Raphael, otherwise known as Ma- King in showbiz, is out with his latest single dubbed, Kwajim. The track, which is gradually gaining airplay, is a prelude to his up coming album, which is likely to drop this year.

“I’m so excited right now; my song Kwajim is making waves. ‘Kwajim’ means vibration in Igbo language and that’s exactly what I intend to achieve with the track; the industry will vibrate. It was produced by Playchord,” Ma King enthused.

Born April 7, 1987 in Enugu, Enugu State, the Anambra State native started singing at the age of 19, when he mimed in school competitions and clubs. He was part of a group called Hot Boys, but later left and joined another group, Dog Zone, after which he clinched the award for Best Rapper in 2000 during a music competition that involved over 15 secondary schools in his locality.

Since his foray into the country’s music industry, the young talent has worked with notable names such as Terry G, Butiza from South African, Flavour, Zikora, and Rock9.

Commenting on his inspiration he said, “My inspiration comes from God. My entire family, especially my mother, is in total support of my choice of career.”
