The fourth episode of the growing TV drama series, Professor Johnbull sponsored by data grandmasters, Globacom, beams its spotlight on the social vice of street peddling of fuel by unscrupulous individuals who take advantage of the persistent fuel scarcity to make quick money.

The sitcom, which aired last Tuesday at 8:30pm on NTA International, NTA Network and NTA on Startimes, articulated the implication of such practice on the economy and the untold hardship experienced by the people.

The drama unfolds with Udo Etuk played by Imeh Bishop who is clad in a light green ‘Babanriga’ making a public advertisement by ringing a bell. He complains of the effect of the harsh economic realities on his hotel business. He sends for Samson, a worker in his hotel but was told he went looking for fuel. Udo goes in search of Samson and discovers people carrying containers of fuel all over, one of them carrying his motorbike fuel tank and is aghast at the sight.

Flash Boy who is having a field day making money from peddling fuel is reprimanded by Professor Johnbull’s son, Churchill (Junior Pope) who queries him on the source of his supply. He confidently replies him “from petrol station naa”. Churchill is disgusted by the trend and calls Flash Boy an economic saboteur.

As the fuel situation begins to take its toll on the people, Professor Johnbull proposes an idea which might be a potential remedy to cushion the effect of the crisis, one of which is workers going to work together in one car instead of three or four cars, this he calls car-pooling.
