You Got It Wrong!
Nollywood actor Shan George took to her Social Media page some days ago to chastise the Nigeria Police Force for dismissing some of its officers caught on camera for different unwholesome acts.
She suggested other punishments such as demotion, and deductions of salary among others for the erring law enforcement officers outside outright dismissal.
The force’s spokesman has since replied to her declaring that police is not a social club, but a regimented institution and as such there are laid down rules for different offences for personnel.
Well, T4T wants to use this medium to advise aunty Shan that she should not meddle in affairs she knows little or nothing about just to attract ‘likes’ and comments on Social Media because every artiste wants to be seen as an ‘activist’ these days.
In October 2020, the nation was almost on the brink of implosion when youths took to the streets to protest the alleged brutality of the police unit of the now disbanded Special Anti Robbery Squad, SARS.
The police had then pledged reform of the force and that is what the current Inspector General of Police is doing at the moment, weeding out the bad eggs that extort, assault and dehumanise innocent Nigerians.
The ongoing exercise should be encouraged and applauded, and not derided like what Shan George is trying to do. A decent police force is what any nation needs and not some bunch of criminals running around in uniform. Ride on oga IG, clean up the rotten force and let the citizens begin to have confidence in the police once again.
Aunty Shan, find another issue to display your newfound ‘activism’ on, dis one nor fly!
Who Will Beg Mr Macaroni For Us?
COMEDIAN and skit maker, Mr. Macaroni’s fixation on the 2020 #EndSARS riots especially the now famous Lekki Toll Gate Massacre is becoming very worrisome.
The comedian was in the news recently ‘advising’ young Nigerians to remember the youths ‘massacred’ at the toll gate as they prepare to vote in next year’s presidential election. Good advice.
But someone needs to remind the young man that this is almost two years after, and with all the claims of over 78 people shot in cold blood (the numbers kept changing till it finally got to 12) at the Panel of inquiry set up by the Lagos State government, not one family member of the people the advocates of the massacre claimed were killed at the toll gate had come forward!
Yes, both civilians and law enforcement agents were killed in the days of rage across the country, but for Mr. Macaroni to continue to dwell on this Lekki Toll Gate massacre without a proof of death is making him look like one seeking cheap attention and popularity because he knows there are some people who still believe him.
Move on young man. Feel free to campaign for your preferred candidate, it is your right, but stop using the phantom massacre to prepare the grounds till you declare for your candidate.
What Is Really The Brief Of That Governor’s Aide?
MAYBE for lack of work to do as Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor, Mr. Ossai Ovie Success is always commenting on social issues, which makes T4T to wonder aloud what his brief is as aide to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.
On Tuesday, he was on fire, taking on Yoruba actress, Nkechi Blessing who boasted on Social Media that she could “buy a man, keep him at home and control him”.
That was a very audacious statement, but then wetin concern Governor aide for the matter ni?
Ossai, who is reputed to be the youngest Aide in the world (that claim is yet to be verified by Guinness World Records bookholders) jumped from his office and replied the actress asking her to apologise to all men (the young man is now the Men’s right activist) “It’s so annoying seeing Nkechi Blessing boasting that she can buy a man with her money and control him….” (the guy don vex).
Anyway, maybe the Governor should add to his brief, extend it perhaps to include Special Assistant on Replying to Social Issues on Behalf of the Delta State Government. Na so the guy overdo the last time wey earn am long suspension without pay, he has not learned his lessons.
His principal is the Vice Presidential candidate in next year’s election, that should be more than enough work on his plate already but for him to still have time to be ‘forming’ Men’s rights activist shows Okowa has so many idle Aides on his payroll.
Nkechi Blessing… You Nor Try ‘Atol’
YORUBA film star, Nkechi Blessing, is one of T4T’S favourite in that genre. She is good and she is also beautiful, that is if you like big and fair women. But what she said during the week on her Instagram page leaves a sour taste in the mouth.
That she could buy a man and keep him at home to do her bidding is truly distasteful to say the least. But then, this is what fame and money can do to a vain mind. Na Yoruba actress she be o, what if she don act one Hollywood movie like Genevieve Nnaji, Omotola Ekeinde… she for kuku don buy all her village men keep for house dey control na.
T4T always advises these celebrities to stay off Social Media when they are high either on alcohol or some cheap drugs. Wait till the effect wears off before posting anything. And this is not to suggest that our dear Nkechi Blessing was high on anything o. Don’t say what T4T did not say. Na jus advise im advise.
