TEETH 4 TEETH … With Justin Akpovi-Esade

Like PMAN, Like AGN…
Recently, T4T revealed to you how disenchanted members of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria, PMAN were with its ‘life president’, Pretty Okafor and so decided to take matters into their own hands. Well, the matter is presently with the police in Abuja. Members of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, may have taken a cue from PMAN, and may also have had enough of its president, Emeka Rollas who has stayed in that position since T4T was still in ‘junior secondary school’, literally. But unlike the case of PMAN, the AGN members reportedly went to ‘court’ in an attempt to sack Rollas and a court had actually ’sacked’ him. And that was why T4T saw this press statement by the actors Guild National Secretary, Alhaji Abubakar Yakubu and the excerpt is hereby reproduced here:

“The attention of the National Executive Council of the Actors Guild of Nigeria has been drawn to the news in some dailies concerning a law suit filed at the Federal High Court, Umuahia Judicial Division, Abia State by some disgruntled members led by one David Amalaha over a court judgment which has been implemented since 2017 in Enugu State…

“Their ultimate aim is to drag the reputation of the Guild and its leadership in the mud to advance their interests in all forms of illegality. How can you meddle into a matter that is sub judice; or media trial and or conviction before trial? They are too ignorant to reason. The National President, Dr. Ejezie Emeka Rollas, MON, will not be swayed by baseless allegations and personal attacks; he is a man of substance, integrity with leadership quality that inspires confidence. The purported news (of Rollas’ sack by the court) is baseless, offensive and a slap in the face of
justice as the matter has just been filed in Court.”

Unless the AGN now operates a life presidency show, one wonders how many years Emeka Rollas will stay as president. Last time T4T checked, he should be doing over seven years on that chair, naim papa get AGN?

Terry G’s ‘Achievement’ In Music
T4T woke up to see a news item on major media outfits where controversial singer Gabriel Oche Amanyi, popularly known as Terry G, claimed he was the trailblazer who gave Nigerian artistes the confidence to smoke cannabis popularly known as ‘Indian Hemp’ or ‘Igbo'(even though Indians have kicked about attaching their name to such item). Terry G inferred that he should be given a recognition award for giving this generation of Nigerian artistes the confidence to publicly smoke Marijuana or ‘Indian hemp'(apologies to the Indians once again). To be honest, Terry G truly deserves that ‘award’. When he was on top of his game, he constantly eulogised the substance in his songs, but one not too pleasant Nigerian savagely commented under the news item saying, “no wonder im(Terry G’s) career nor last. I’m use im career take smoke ‘igbo’”. That was not too nice, but then, nor be T4T talk am o.

Mike Okri Needs ‘An’ Proof Reader
NIGERIA music legend may be in need of an proof Reader who should be going through whatever he wants to post on social media, especially Facebook. T4T stumbled on one of bros Mike’s posts on Facebook during the week and here was what he said.

“You must always speak ‘the’ truth to power rather than ‘be’ the coward degerate who fails to defend the weak for political gains”Unless Mike Okri uses an Urhobo dictionary, there is no English word like ‘degerate’. Next time bros, it is degenerate.

Who Will Settle Mikel Vs Siasia Fight?
SINCE the advent of Podcast media, it has become a medium where people who have kept long secrets use to let the public know about them. So, former Nigeria and Chelsea star, Mikel Obi, decided to tell Nigerians recently that he paid the flight tickets of Nigerian players from the United States to Rio, Brazil for the 2016 Rio Olympics when the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, as usual, went dark on the players.

In a swift response to Mikel Obi’s claim, the Head coach of the then Olympics Eagles to the Rio 2016 Olympics, Samson Siasia categorically stated that Mikel Obi did not pay flight tickets of the team from United States to Rio. “Mikel Obi did not pay any flight money for Olympic Eagles from United States to Brazil for the 2016 Olympics. Nothing like that. We only had issues with hotel bills. I think, he did pay for some of the hotel bills, but that of the flight from United States to Brazil, Mikel did not pay for that. If Mikel has the receipt to that effect, let him show Nigerians that he was the one who paid.”

The last part of Siasia’s response was not too pleasant: “Maybe he(Mikel) is broke and looking for money. He should try other means to make money”. Haba bros Siasia, that was below the belt na, Mikel broke ke? Did he burn the millions of pounds he made during his playing days in an incinerator?
Anyway, the burden of proof lies with brother Mikel now. Nigerians are waiting.
