Owen G Needs To Do More
Once upon a time popular stand-up comedian, Owen G is now a skit maker. T4T does not know whether his present vocation is an elevation or not, but sha, bros Owen G may have come to the realisation that this generation of skit makers are richer than his generation of stand up comedians.
For about three weeks now, the ‘former’ stand up comedian’s ‘Skits & Sketches’ have been running on Pay TV as fillers in between movies on AfricaMagic Yoruba.
Owen G was not a very funny comedian even when he was on top of his game alongside the likes of AY, Basket Mouth, Koffi among others back in the day, but one expected that since he decided to veer into skit making, he would at least emulate the younger skits makers and churn out funny stuff. But no. All the skits but one by Owen G currently being aired are dry and ‘cracky’.
He should sign up a good writer who would put down some really funny materials. His name and face alone won’t make the skits funny. No hard feelings bro, you can do better.
MOHBAD DNA: How Will Wunmi Play This Out?
FOR almost two years after the death of singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, several attempts by his father, Joseph Aloba to get the ‘wife’(busybodies say they were not legally married) to consent to a DNA test on the son, Liam, she claims she had for the late singer, had hit the rocks.
Wunmi, that is the name of the ‘wife’ of Mohbad has been hiding under the rock, some say Olumo, to avoid a DNA test on her son and that has been one puzzle that T4T has been finding hard to solve. How can a mother who is supposed to be miffed that her fidelity is being questioned amid wide ranging accusations of adultery and paternity fraud, should be the one to lead the way to a medical laboratory to prove her innocence, is the one using all subterfuge to evade the DNA test on her son, yet she has been vehemently insisting Mohbad was the father. Something is missing here!
Anyway, Wunmi may have nowhere to hide again as the Magistrates Court in Ikorodu on Tuesday ordered that Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA) tests be conducted on Liam Aloba. The DNA tests are to be conducted in an accredited and recognised hospital, both in Nigeria and abroad.
Magistrate Adefisoye Sonuga gave the order while ruling on an application filed by the older Aloba who sought for a paternity test. The late Mohbad’s ‘wife’, Omowunmi Cynthia Aloba, was listed as the respondent in the application which was brought pursuant to Order 8 Rules 1 & 8 of the Family Court of Lagos State (Civil Procedure) 2012, and Order 9 Rules 8 & 9 of the Magistrate Courts (Civil Procedure) Rules 2009.
Something tells T4T that Wunmi, the acclaimed ‘wife’ of late Mohbad is not done yet. She still has a rabbit to pull out of the hat to block the DNA test on her son. T4T may be wrong sha o, but for someone who has nothing to hide, she won’t even wait till the matter gets to court before being compelled to make her son available for any test at all as long as the test is not harmful to his health.
And The Skit maker Acquires Mansion
AS a Nollywood actor, he could best be described as a fringe one. You know, those kind of actors you cannot say are successful and popular but people know them on the street because of their stereotypical character in almost every movie they star in.
And then, 10 Kobo, yes, that is his acting and skit making name, became a full time skit maker. He does these skits where he is always eating a large meal and an intruder would be using some funny guise especially saying irrelevant things to distract him while he eats from his food.
T4T never knew that 10 Kobo was making a whole lot of money from his skits until early this week when he posted a video of him standing in front of a brand new mansion he announced as his. Really? If you guys see T4T in a skit from next week, don’t be surprised. E be like say dis journalism nor dey pay again.
