How Big Can I Dream?
And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of man had built. And the LORD said, “Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language, and this is only the beginning of what they will do. And nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them.
Genesis 11:5-6 ESVCherish The Small Beginnings
“Do not despise these small beginnings, for the LORD rejoices to see the work begin, to see the plumb line in Zerubbabel’s hand…”

Zachariah 4:10

Big things start as very small seeds. However, the direction and height they will achieve is established in the little stages. A child comes in a very small package compared to the diversity, strength and size of a man; a tree starts out as a seed; a vision starts out as a lesser defined thought; Character and personality start out with small decisions and habits. Time and circumstances lie in between the beginning of a thing and its end and yet the beginning of a thing, however small, is to be cherished and celebrated. Very often, goals with hard roads are met with little joy at the beginning because the results at that stage are little and far between. However, such difficult roads must be met with the strength that comes from joy otherwise the journey would be uncompleted or at best a tedious, sorrowful one. How else can one be encouraged to stay the course if you do not cherish the little results? It is strength that one needs to accomplish a goal, without which, the battle is over even before it starts.
Learn to Strengthen Yourself
And David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because all the people were bitter in soul, each for his sons and daughters. But David strengthened himself in the LORD his God.

1 Samuel 30:6 ESV
The truth about reality is that hard times meet every man. If anyone has told you otherwise…it just isn’t true. It’s a fact of life which every man has to come to terms with eventually. The bigger the shoes, the harder it is to feel. Somehow, when the challenge seemed insurmountable David had the wisdom to strengthen himself in the Lord. The end of the story of course was one of victory! Most people find very hard to encourage themselves, that is why we have very few leaders.

Oh, there is nothing wrong in finding a helping hand or a listening ear, but you can find other unreliable or without adequate power! It is not always that we have someone who can be there for us just the way you need them too.
