Kitchen sink clogs are usually caused by food washed off from plates down the drain. They get trapped in the pipe system under the sink and collectively form clogs overtime.

However, if you’re wondering why your kitchen sink is clogged when you always placed the sink sieve to stop passage of blocking particles. Well, usually clogged kitchen sinks may not necessarily be from food blockage but accumulated oil, which form clog even faster than food particles.

So, whether it is food particles or oil blockage, you can unclog your kitchen sink with the following tips:
• Pour one cup of fresh baking soda down the drain, followed by one cup of white vinegar.

• Place a rubber stopper or other sinkhole cover over the drain opening.

• Wait 15 minutes to allow the vinegar and baking soda to unclog your drain, then take out the drain cover and run hot tap water down the drain to clear the clog.
