The Land Is Green (TLIG) Africa Media has announced its new shows on television.

The announcement was made at a media parley in Victoria Island, Lagos, with the media outfit setting its eye for global prominence.

Founder, TLIG Global Media, Kehinde Olagbenjo, said the brand has been in operation for about 10 years and handled some of the biggest entrepreneurs programmes over the year.

According to Olagbenjo, some of the shows include Celebrity Uncensored anchored by prolific entertainment reporter, Kehinde Ajose; The BRR Show anchored by Adejoke Yusuf (Jkay); The Todd Show anchored by Abayomi Odunola and others.

He continued: “We have shows on several radio stations and TV. We handled some of the biggest entrepreneurs’ programmes some years ago and we partnered with several big companies. So, we thought it was time to move to the next level.

“When we started, we do more content on business and empowerment but as time goes on, we decided to include entertainment in its best form; we want to touch every aspect.

“We have been streaming our shows on Facebook, and YouTube but now we are going on DSTV so we can have more coverage. We are also launching our own 24 hours channel because we’re now producing more content. We have the best equipment and studio. We are also going to play a major role in the 2023 general elections.

of money, which is, enough to run our own. If we keep putting our content on other platforms we will still be limited. So, we want that extra freedom where we can run 24 hours. We want to project Africa on the bigger stage and that is why we have been building the experience.”

On the sustainable plan, he said. “I have been doing this alone for 10 years but we have partners now. One of our partners bought into a share of a company that has over 45 Television stations in the US. So, just imagine if all these people bring their resources, and expertise together, it will be a game changer. I am open to more partnerships, I don’t just want to be a CEO and control all. We have mapped ways to generate income to sustain the business in the long run. Everyone is fully involved.”

Also speaking, Partner, TLIG Africa, Afolabi Oke, said, “I believe in the vision; I’m supporting and partnering TLIG Africa to take this dream to the global stage.

“I’m sure that global media like CNN will start taking content from us because they will not find the kind of content anywhere else. Our job is to create a platform where even our media people can be truly celebrated. It is time for Africans to take back what truly belongs to us; it is time to show the world who we truly are, and not from their own lenses. We want to celebrate young entrepreneurs and media people. Nobody remembers media men, especially journalists despite working hard, but it’s time to protect them.”

Speaking on the amount being lost to not telling our own story through local platforms, he said: “There was a time we took some Nigerian governors to California, US to the biggest agric show and we were shocked when a man told us that tomato paste called ketchup was first discovered in Benue State and that because we did not document and trademark, Heinz did not acknowledge that it came from Benue. Imagine how much royalty we will be earning from Heinz if we had trademarked that.

“Uncle Ben’s rice was first discovered in Enugu State but who recorded, trademarked and documented it? So, for how long should we continue? That is why we have the passion to set up our own, to tell this kind of story and let the world hear that Uncle Ben’s rice came from Enugu.

“Louis Vuitton should be paying royalty to Kano, but it is in their interest that we remain like this. But the days we wake up and have a good government, we will ‘blow,’ but the only people that can make it happen, are those in the media.”

Speaking on his show, Ajose said: “We talk about things that have not been heard before from celebrities. Our interest is to go after the stories not yet in the public domain. Celebrity Uncensored is a no-holds-barred entertainment interview show that undresses celebrities, telling their stories unashamedly in a fun exciting way.

“It is a conversational entertainment interview show where famous faces will mostly share what people hardly know about them. It’s anchored on three essentials: entertainment, inspiration and information.

“So far, I have interviewed the likes of Koffi Idowu Nuel, Oluwatoyin Oyesanya, Ugoccie, Davidsyn, Emeka Nobis, Diva Gold, Seyi Hunter, Temi Kosoko and others.
