After a streak of fan-favourite releases last year, award-winning Nigerian-Canadian singer, Tome, has continued her love apostolate with her first official single for the year dubbed, Nobody Else. The mid-tempo RnB bop is coming ahead of the singer’s forthcoming album dubbed, Love Over Vanity.

Tome clinched the prestigious Canadian-based Juno Awards, last year, for Reggae Recording of the Year, with her hit single, I Pray featuring the Jamaican RnB superstar Sean Kingston.

On Nobody Else, Tome switches on her lover-girl mien, with her lightweight vocals, painting a pensive portrait of a heartbroken lover who has been a victim of serial heartbreaks.

“I know that you’re the one just for me, no explanations… you are the one that I choose,” she sings.

Produced by multi-talented hit record producer & artiste, Yung Willis, Nobody Else is a feel-good classic R&B record. This mid-tempo masterpiece explores the theme of love, desire, adoration, and admiration. ‘Nobody Else’ is intentional, emotive, and inspiring – the perfect song to arouse that mushy feeling with your lover.

Born Michelle Akanbi, Tome grew up in Montreal, Canada, drawing influences from singers like Erykah Badu, Lauryn Hill, Wizkid, among others, while she mastered her own RnB fusions. After breaking out in 2019, the singer has recorded a spree of hit releases, including three compilation sound pieces dubbed, Tomesroom: Chapter 1, and Bigger Than Four Walls, respectively.
